Employee Appreciation Gifts for Mother's Day

One of our all time favorite custom gift design projects of all time is a group of employee appreciation Mother's Day gifts in honor of all of the working moms on our client Scorpion's company roster. (You may have already seen them - they appeared in our Top Client Appreciation Gifts of 2021 post.) These custom curated gift boxes were sent during the pandemic as a way of recognizing how additionally hard their moms were working to juggle childcare, adjust to a life of remote work with kids at home, the challenges of homeschooling, and pandemic stress in general. The response to this campaign was overwhelmingly positive so I'm excited to share all of the details with you guys today!

You may have seen Scorpion's branding in some of our "Top Corporate Holiday Gift Designs" roundups over the last couple of years: here and here. With their branding being heavily blue, white, and black, we know we wanted to intentionally go softer and more neutral for this occasion while still incorporating blue as one of their primary branding colors. We selected high quality ivory gift boxes and selected gift box contents with shades of ivory and blue for a soft yet on-brand aesthetic.

For gift contents, we wanted items that provided a way for moms to focus on self-care and included luxury hand lotion and a small batch artisan candle. We also included a functional keepsake item for working from home - a branded Scorpion tumbler in a gorgeous soft blue. And last but not least, a sweet treat from Sugarfina

The contents in these custom gift boxes were special but the customized notecard message from the leadership team at Scorpion was even more beautiful! They acknowledged all of the great work they were doing for the company while also dealing with a million different things at home. They acknowledged that "there's no handbook for this" and told the moms "you are rocking it."

We hope you enjoyed reading about this project. It is truly one of our most favorite gift designs of all time. And not just because we love the aesthetic but because they saw a reason to pamper their employees and recognize them for a job well done. During all of the stressors people were experiencing during the pandemic, I have a feeling that these gifts went a long way in cheering people up even if just for a moment when they opened the box and discovered such an unexpected surprise inside. We'd love to hear from you and help take gifting completely off of your shoulders from design all the way to delivery!
