WEDDING WELCOME
Welcome to Marigold & Grey. We're glad you're here.
Let us guess. You believe your wedding is about far more than just you. It’s about family and friends and without them, your celebration just wouldn’t be the same. You figure the least you can do is to greet them with a gift as meaningful as they are. If this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place!
You won’t find us carelessly shoving water bottles and Advil in a bag and calling it a day. We believe gifting is an art form but as much as it’s our job to create gorgeous gifts to thoughtfully welcome your guests to town, it’s equally our mission to give you a stress-free experience where you don’t lift a finger from start to finish.
We really do value our clients as much as you do your guests!

A CASE STUDY
Classic DC Wedding with Washington Nationals Flair
Client:
Erin & Julijus
Planning/Event Design:
Howerton & Wooten
objective:
Living in Europe and planning a wedding in Washington DC is no small feat but made easier with the help of an accomplished wedding planner. In this case, Erin & Julijus relied on the talents of Kawania of Howerton Wooten Events to create the quintessential American experience for their guests. Part of creating this experience was presenting the guests with welcome gifts to thank them for traveling so far to celebrate with them and also to arm them with useful information about the fun-filled weekend!
approach:
The couple kicked off the weekend by renting out a well-known DC barbeque restaurant for their welcome dinner and hired dance instructors to introduce guests to country line dancing among other American dance styles. Therefore, as part of their welcome booklet, we included basic instructions for the most popular dance moves. Following the wedding, the couple planned to invite everyone to a Sunday Washington Nationals baseball game, we knew that custom-embroidered ball caps were a must! We had the couples initials embroidered onto the back for a sweet touch! And again, the welcome booklet featured the rules to American Baseball so everyone could easily follow along with the game. The welcome bags had additional elements of DC including durable DC tote bags (skyline design courtesy of LePenn Designs) along with a Washington DC chocolate bar, American flag cookies by Sugar Studio and even an official Washington Nationals water bottle. The couple embraced navy as their key wedding color which made it very easy for us to develop a red, white and blue theme, yet done in an elegant and upscale way.
from the planner:
Everyone (hotel staff, wedding guests, the couple) LOVED the gift bags! And, EVERY SINGLE GUEST at the baseball game had on a hat! That was very helpful to me because when I was looking for one of them, I simply needed to look at the back of their heads for the E&J! (smile) The couple was SO HAPPY about everything. I am so grateful for vendor partners like Marigold & Grey who helped me look good in my clients’ eyes. And, I must say, their processes were on point. Not to mention, a breath of fresh air! They are kind and thoughtful and it was a pleasure to correspond with Jamie and her team throughout the entire process. It made such a difference in the overall experience. And, by the way, the welcome booklets were used often. They were perfect! I definitely look forward to the opportunity to work with Marigold & Grey again in the near future!
