objective:
PWC came to us looking for an exciting and on-theme gift design to welcome their clients to the US Open in New York City. They requested that the gifts be reflective of the US Open tennis concept, while also highlighting the event's location in the vibrant city!
approach:
For this gift design, we began with a crisp tennis white gift box, filled with vibrant green paper fill to echo the look of a fresh court. Inside, we carefully arranged an embroidered tennis racket canvas tote and a US Open Grand Slam mug to highlight the tennis theme. To celebrate the location of New York City, we included locally made kettle chips, mini chocolate chip cookies, and a Met + Mast dark chocolate bar—sourced from renowned NYC institutions. A locally crafted candle and elegant matches served as thoughtful keepsakes for guests to enjoy long after the event. To keep recipients refreshed during the matches, we added San Pellegrino sparkling waters and hydration packs. Finishing touches included dried Billy Button floral accents and a custom notecard for a personalized feel. The US Open coffee table book, tied to the top of the box with a custom gift tag and white satin ribbon added a final layer of sophistication and excitement.
the end result:
Receiving this gift was such a thoughtful surprise for guests—it captured the energy of the US Open and the charm of NYC perfectly. The tennis-themed items and local treats made them feel instantly welcomed and excited for the upcoming matches!
