objective:
When Dana of Dana Rose Lee Photography contacted us to outsource her custom bridal party gifts, she wanted gifts to compliment her elegant fall aesthetic while also highlighting some very special pieces of original art. Dana’s mom, prior to passing away from cancer a number of years ago, was a well-known equestrian artist. Dana wanted to gift each of her bridesmaids an original piece of framed art of her mom’s as a way of honoring both her bridesmaids and her Mom on her wedding weekend. As luck would have it, while searching through storage in the months leading up to her wedding, Dana ended up finding the exact number of original pieces in the exact same design allowing each friend to receive the same gift! It was meant to be.
approach:
Dana’s color palette was navy and merlot so we kept everything very soft and neutral with pops of blue and red to allow the art to take center stage. We opted for natural open-top pine crates, lilac artisan candles, Rosebud Salve in vintage-inspired tins, a deep red pashmina, and an ivory Plum Pretty Sugar robe featuring the prettiest, most delicate lace trim on the bottom of each. The entire bridal party, including Dana, wore the robes while getting ready on wedding day. The bridal party also wore the red pashminas for portraits while we included an extra ivory one for the bride to wear as well! In addition to custom gift tags in the same pattern as her invitation suite, we also included a small note in each gift crate featuring the same organic motif. The gift tags were personalized with each bridesmaid’s name to make the gift even that much more special. Silk merlot ribbon finished everything off.
from the client:
"I wanted to do something special and unique for my bridesmaids so I decided to outsource my bridal party gifts. The only component I knew I wanted to include was a piece of my Mom’s original art. I also wanted to use our wedding color palette, but I really didn’t have a set idea on what else I wanted to include in the gifts. So, I gave full creative liberty to Marigold & Grey and in a timely manner, they presented me with a few options that I immediately fell in love with. Each component was carefully thought out and complemented our elegant and rustic fall wedding perfectly. For someone that loves the little details, I had met my match in choosing Marigold & Grey. When I went to their studio to pick up the gifts I had been anticipating, I could not believe how beautifully curated they were once all put together. Jamie and her team created gifts that exceeded my expectations that went above and beyond what I had envisioned. Without a doubt, the most beautiful bridal party gifts that had all of my bridesmaids in tears."
