Custom Welcome Gifts for Private Estate Wedding in The Plains, Virginia

It’s officially fall, which means we’re creating custom wedding welcome gifts during my favorite time of year! I adore the deep color palettes associated with the season, and Stephanie and Max’s wedding day was filled with shades of merlot, plum, and natural greens. The pair hosted their wedding at a private family farm in The Plains, Virginia, so I immediately knew there would be several nods to Virginia included in the gift boxes. Let’s take a peek inside!

To accent the color palette, we knew a kraft box would serve as the perfect foundation for the design. Stephanie B Design created a wonderful custom sketch of the couple’s wedding venue that we turned into a gift tag. Ribbon in a lovely shade of merlot served as the perfect pop of color.

Welcoming guests with a personal note from the couple is something we always recommend, and the gorgeous design created by Stephanie B Design will forever be one our our favorites! They also mirrored the couple's invitation suite for an overall cohesive guest experience from save-the-date to welcome gift.

And now the sweet and salty treat! We opted to include custom Virginia-shaped cookies from a local favorite Two Sugars Dessert Studio, Whitley’s peanuts (another Virginia staple!), and Virginia’s own Route 11 potato chips. Perrier was definitely a necessity for guests to enjoy while they snacked, and everyone happily went home with a jar of local triple berry jam.

It was a joy working with Stephanie and Max on their welcome gifts as well as being able to collaborate with so many local businesses, including East Made Event Co, Sweet Root Village, and more! Wishing the newlyweds a lifetime of happiness from Team Marigold & Grey!
