Custom Welcome Gifts for a DC Wedding at Anderson House

People often ask me which custom welcome gift design is my favorite and I always have trouble picking just one. I have to say though, the design I'm about to show you from this summer's Anderson House wedding (planned by Engaging Affairs) is definitely up there on my list!
The brides wanted a "date night" feel to the gifts and to incorporate soft colors to mirror the color palette of their event. But other than that, I was able to run with it. Absolutely love creative freedom!
Knowing that the brides were huge prosecco fans, I knew that a pretty bottle would undoubtedly make its way into the design. I paired it with homemade cheese twists, a box of gourmet cookies, and two Perrier cans.
To personalize the gifts, I designed a welcome letter to include the itinerary for the weekend so guests would have the time and place of each event handy. A huge thanks to my friend Jess at Poppy & Scooter who leant a last-minute hand with the calligraphy elements you see here. They made a huge difference and added an elegant, luxurious touch! And of course, a fresh sprig of lavender was added just as the gifts were heading out the door for the Hay Adams. Fragrant and beautiful.
Along with the lavender, I also added fresh eucalyptus to each wood crate. I absolutely love the combination of natural pine with greenery. It just gets me every time!
A hand-lettered calligraphy tag with "cheers" accompanied each gift box along with the perfect shade of feminine blush ribbon.
From what we hear, D + K had a fabulous wedding weekend and their guests LOVED the gifts. Wishing them a lifetime of happiness together from the Marigold & Grey team!
