Say 'hello' to our newest Marigold & Grey team member, Jeanne Yuen. We couldn't be more excited to welcome Jeanne onto our team as the new e-Commerce Production Assistant. As orders from our online gift shop of ready-to-ship curated gifts are growing, we are so grateful to have Jeanne in the studio full time to help us assemble gifts. Her role in the e-comm shop will be to ensure that each gift is carefully packed and put together exactly right, and, of course, she will make sure that the handwritten gift note cards are perfection!
If you follow our Instagram account closely, you might have seen Jeanne over the years pop in and out of the gifting work room. She has helped us out for the past few holiday seasons and during our busy production times with our online gift orders as well as our custom gift builds. Jeanne knows how things run around the gifting headquarters and we are so thankful to have her on the team full time....and it's not just because brings in delicious homemade baked goods!

Tell us a little about yourself.
I am 2nd generation American Chinese born and have lived in Maryland all my life. I speak Toison, a southern Chinese dialect. I enjoy cooking, entertaining family gatherings, gardening, sewing, traveling and cruising. I have done over 7 5K's, 4 10K's, and 14 half marathons power walking all over the USA, including Bermuda.
What attracted you to the e-Commerce Production Assistant position?
I was asked by my friend, Janine, to come help with the Christmas holiday season. After the second holiday season, I loved working and building the vast variety of cute gifts alongside an all female workforce.
What were you doing before joining M&G and how do you think it will benefit you in your new position?
I was a retired mom and wife, managing the household activities on a daily basis. Multitasking and a fast working pace has helped me with the job at M&G.
What do you look forward to about this job?
I look forward to creating each gift perfectly and imagining the look of each person's expression when opening their gift they have received.
A favorite celebrity wedding?
My favorite celebrity wedding was Drew Scott and Linda Pham in Puglia, Italy. I so love watching HGTV and the Property Brothers.
A favorite movie?
I cannot name one favorite movie, but I do love watching Hallmark and HGTV channel.
A favorite summertime travel destination?
Our family Alaska cruise a few years ago in August is my all time favorite vacation. We sailed from Vancouver to Seward, Alaska to Anchorage, Alaska. We kayaked, whale watched, went salmon stream fishing, and took a train ride thru Skagway. We also took a dogsled ride on dry land with the Iditarod dog team, and watched and heard icebergs fall and crash into the waters called "calving."
A favorite insta account these days?
I only have a Facebook account.
The best gift you’ve ever given?
I received family jewelry when I got married and in turn gave the pieces to my daughter when she got married. These pieces will also be passed down to their children as a tradition to follow.
We hope that you have enjoyed meeting Jeanne and learning about her newest role here at M&G! Stay tuned to our Instagram to see even more behind-the-scenes action of all of our team members. In the meantime, check out our online gift shop of curated gift boxes that Jeanne is helping to assemble!
