This past Sunday, I was invited by the ultra-energetic and super-talented Jenna Shellhammer of Pop the Cork Designs to be a part of her New Years Eve Meets Masquerade photoshoot. But this wasn't your typical masquerade. Instead, think laser-cut leather masks and soft shades of blush and metallics. Of course, I designed a custom wedding welcome gift!
I showed up and, to my surprise, it was a private residence in Annapolis right on the water. Practically steps outside the back french doors and you were at the owners private boat dock. Basically, the location was to die for. But the inside! Oh my goodness, the INSIDE! This home was Restoration Hardware meets Nantucket meets 1920's glam. The most beautiful shade of grey on the interior walls with thick white trim and just the perfect amount of white-washed furniture, tons of mirrors and, some beautiful antiques tastefully sprinkled in amongst the modern. And of course, the home was flawlessly decked out for the holidays. Basically, it was styled shoot heaven. Between the furniture, rugs, wallpaper and upholstery, there were a gazillion textures. Not a bad problem to have!
And now for the most amusing part of the day...seeing the boyfriends of the bride and bridal party do nothing but play video games to pass the time. Boys will be boys.
