You may recall our recent release of our Top 10 Client Appreciation Gift Designs of 2018 but now it's time to mix it up a bit and share with you our Top 10 Wedding Welcome Gift Designs of 2018! This was really tall task to select just ten but thankfully we came together as a team and finally managed to agree...
Classic and Neutral DC Wedding Welcome Boxes
Since it's no secret we're fans of neutrals around here, it's probably not surprising that these elegant DC welcome boxes for a special Soco Events couple makes our list. We selected ivory deluxe gift boxes with the most gorgeous taupe ribbon along with simple gift tags and welcome booklets showing off the A + G's monogram. For sweet treats, we included US Capitol cookies by Sugar Studio and caramel popcorn packaged in clear treat boxes and tied with coordinating ribbon. The most notable part of the entire gift design was the bride's family's secret recipe for a small batch nut mix. Such a special touch! We also included water and mini amenity kits in muslin bags, custom printed with the couple's monogram.

Orchid Inspired Wedding Welcome Gifts
While these next wedding welcome gifts were for a Boston wedding with Rex & Regina Events, they weren't Boston-themed. The wedding design was inspired by orchids so we went in that direction instead. We chose crisp white gift boxes to allow the purple to pop. We included individually wrapped Godiva chocolates and sub-packaged them in a clear treat bag with a custom sticker featuring the orchid design along with flavored almonds and the best part...a custom orchid cookie by Sugar Studio. The welcome note provided the weekend itinerary and pulled through the orchid motif as well. We finished the gifts off with "Welcome to Boston" gift tags featuring....you guessed it...the orchid design again along with deep purple ribbon!

DC Welcome Tote Bags
These custom DC tote bags are proof that you don't have to fill your welcome gifts to the brim with items in order for them to be impactful. Many times, it's quality over quantity! Stephanie B Design created this adorable outline of DC with our couple's names and we had it custom printed on these sturdy canvas totes. For contents, we included a Washington DC chocolate bar in the most beautiful watercolor packaging, locally sourced Olivia Macaron treats and the most fun of all...the cookie depicting T+W's adorable goldendoodle! Stephanie B Design also created the floral inspired welcome letters with the festive greeting "Oh good, you're here!". Planning by Cheers Darling Events.

Black & White Ohio Wedding Welcome Boxes
The goal for these black and white wedding welcome boxes for an Ohio wedding with MMJ Events was to offer a nod to the location of the wedding all while remaining in line with the aesthetic of the wedding. We started with matte black gift boxes and filled it with a mixture of sweet and savory treats. We chose Ohio-sourced chips and small batch seasoned peanuts along with chocolate chip cookies bars in the most perfect black and white packaging. For beverages, we opted for the black and white "Boxed Water is Better" carton style waters to round out the design. The black and white welcome notes and coordinating gift tags remained consistent with the invitation suite sent to all wedding guests and featured the couples elegant monogram.

Christmas Inspired DC Welcome Boxes
Being a huge fan of the color green, these custom wedding welcome boxes for a DC wedding with Ida Rose Events were ones we were sad to see leave the studio once they were done and ready to be delivered. We chose elegant ivory boxes to allow the rich hunter green to stand out. Deep green San Pellegrino bottles were an obvious choice because of color but also provided an upscale celebratory vibe. Custom cookies in the shape of the US Capitol dome by Sugar Studio and Virginia peanuts were included along with some nods to the couple's interests. We selected gummy horses to honor the bride's equestrian family (oh my, these were hard to find!!!) and soccer and golf ball chocolates to represent the groom. Each of these candies were sub-packaged so the aesthetic remained in line with the color palette of the gifts, the gummies in small kraft boxes tied with hunter green grosgrain ribbon and the chocolates in white bakery bags which allowed the candy wrappers to show.

Mad-Men-Meets-West-Elm Welcome Boxes
These next custom wedding welcome gifts were far from ordinary, and in the most fun way possible! Our mission was to create masculine-leaning and modern welcome boxes for a mad-men-meets-west-elm inspired wedding designed by Grit & Grace. We selected navy storage boxes from Container Store and added elements representing the couple including coffee from one of their favorite Richmond, Virginia shops, a set of German Shepherd cookies depicting their two beloved pups (by District Desserts), and even the groom's favorite....EPIC bison jerky. And can we talk about the welcome booklets?! These were, by far, my favorite part of the entire project. Claudia of Fig2 Design created luxe welcome booklets tied with silk marigold ribbon, in the same exact shade that we tied the boxes with. And instead of us using gift tags, Claudia created mini insert cards with "Welcome" to slide into the brackets on the storage boxes. Definitely a unique, modern spin on the traditional welcome box!

Fall Inspired Wedding Welcome Gifts
Given our obsession with all things fall, when we have a couple come to us with a vision of gifts that are completely fall-inspired, we are 150% on board! For these next set of wedding welcome boxes for an upstate New York autumn wedding, we were tasked with using traditional fall colors along with wood burned gift tags in the shape of leaves that the bride had her heart set on long before she contacted us. We selected kraft gift boxes for a warm, cozy look and finished them off with rich merlot ribbon and affixed the wood tags. (We used thinner ribbon than usual to allow the leaves to take center stage). For contents, we had a mix of sweet and savory with NY-sourced chocolate bars, flavored almonds, and popcorn that we sub-packaged in clear treat bags and finished off with rustic twine and a color coordinating wax seal. The best part was the welcome letter design featuring a mountain illustration and gorgeous script font in the matching shade of merlot, designed by Just Write Studios.

Black Tie Wedding Welcome Boxes
When we think quintessential black tie weddings and the gifts that go along with them, these DC-inspired welcome boxes immediately come to mind! For C+J's Mellon Auditorium celebration, we used elegant ivory gift boxes to allow the burgundy to pop. We included DC Capitol dome cookies by Sugar Studio, gourmet peanuts, and macrons from local Olivia Macaron. We also created mini amenity kits in drawstring bags. And the most meaningful addition of all, the custom printed chocolate boxes featuring Ethel M truffles, a family favorite of the brides. With the help of Just Write Studios, we designed classic welcome letters with ivory ink on burgundy card stock and coordinating gift tags featuring the couple's monogram.

Destination Wedding Welcome Baskets
These next gifts were a ton of work to assemble due to a large amount of sub-assembly within each gift but all the extra work was well worth it! The result was lush, tropical-inspired wedding welcome baskets for a destination wedding in the Dominican Republic for Jessica and her fiancé, co-owners of Social Supply Events. We used structured woven baskets with lids and filled them with thoughtful items that can be enjoyed on the beach such as dried mango, coconut, plantain chips, Voss water, and SPF. We even included sunglasses for each guest! The custom paper took the gifts to a whole new level with gift tags personalized with each guest's name and welcome letters featuring vellum and wax seals. Last but not least, we closed the baskets and added luxury turkish towels to the top underneath raw edge ribbon and greenery!

Washington Nationals Inspired Wedding Welcome Bags
For this project, most all guests were visiting Washington DC from outside of the US and the couple wanted to show their guests a weekend filled with elements of the American experience. Naturally, one of the main themes of the weekend was baseball. The couple treated all wedding guests to a Washington Nationals game and so we created custom-embroidered Nats hats for inclusion in the custom DC tote bags along with Nationals water bottles. (The hats featured the couple's initials with a heart and their wedding date for a sweet personalized touch) We also included custom USA cookies by Sugar Studio and Washington DC chocolate bars. The welcome booklets were more than just your average notecard with the weekend itinerary! While these did, of course, outline the schedule for the weekend's activities, we also included illustrations and step-by-step instructions for country line dancing for guests to follow during their first night in town. (Our couple rented out a popular DC barbeque restaurant and provided dance lessons for everyone!) An amazing time was had by all and we were honored to play a role in welcoming guests to town for such a fun-filled weekend in DC. Illustrations and DC skyline. Michigan-based LePenn Designs created the skyline motif for tote bags as well as the illustrations for the welcome booklets.
