It’s always a huge honor to have our curated gift boxes and welcome bags featured in print magazines but especially exciting when it’s a local publication like Washingtonian Bride & Groom and not to mention, a FULL page! For this feature, the editors were looking for an example of our wedding welcome gifts that told a story about the couple. This is what we aspire to do with every single couple we create wedding welcome gifts for so naturally I was honored to send over several examples.
In the end, they selected our Washington DC totes created for our couple Maura McGraw and James Prial. The wedding was designed and planned by Lauryn Prattes Styling & Events and held at DC's W Hotel.
The DC tote bags (in the couple's wedding color of purple) set the stage for the DC-inspired contents that guests would find inside. Georgetown-based Dog Tag Bakery brownies were not only made in the District but also a nod to the couple's military background along with an American flag pin attached to each tote. The custom cherry blossom cookies, made by DC-area Two Sugars Studio, were perfect for peak cherry blossom season! We searched high and low for the Irish Red Ale, a nod to the couple's Irish heritage. We included organic roasted chickpeas as a healthy option amidst all the sweet treats. Lastly, the bags were finished off with calligraphy welcome tags by Poppy & Scooter and gold satin ribbon.
We were honored to work with Maura and James on these custom gifts and extremely flattered to be considered for this issue of the magazine. Thank you Washingtonian!
