We Have BIG News in the New Year!

Some big news to announce in this New Year for Marigold & Grey! We officially kicked off our brand partnership with Aramark earlier this week. What does this mean, you might be wondering? 

We have a become a gifting arm for them where we will be gifting for several of their internal departments as well as enterprise-level clients. Solidifying this partnership allowed Aramark to support a small woman-owned business while also suspending their own internal gifting operations in order to focus on what they do best, while allowing us to take over doing what we do best. 

It’s taken a lot of behind-the-scenes work to get M&G operations and technology ready to take on a partnership of this magnitude, but we are confident that we are ready. Not to mention, we’ve worked hard over the last decade to be in a position to handle a relationship like this and I can’t help but feel that all of the years of preparation have led us here. 

 With Aramark being an $18 billion company and M&G being considered a small business, one might suspect that an imbalance of power throughout the negotiation process could be possible. But I can honestly say that when Aramark pledged their support to us as a woman-owned small business back in 2023 when we first began talks, they meant it. 

Never once have I felt like we were being treated as “just a small business.” We’ve had an equal voice at every table and differences between big business and small business have been celebrated, never highlighted as a deficiency. They have helped us come up with creative ways of scaling to accommodate a partnership like this and even championed us getting our recent WBENC certification, a significant milestone for us. 

We have shared small snippets about this partnership with you over the past year while it’s been in the works and then again once the agreement was signed. But now that it’s been officially announced within Aramark, we are proud to share these details with you as well!

I always love the energy a New Year brings. We are go-go-go around here leading up to the holidays and then close operations to give our team a period of rest and relaxation that they deserve after so many weeks of long hours and strenuous labor. 

We come back to what feels like a lull and we love using this time to reflect on the year prior, make goals for the upcoming year, and dig into projects that focus more ON the business than IN the business. 

We can’t wait to share with you as we dig into 2025, a year that is bound to be exciting.
