We recently had the pleasure of creating custom welcome gifts for the executive team at Alexion who were attending a leadership retreat on Cape Cod. Our goal was to seamlessly blend the coastal elegance of Cape Cod with summertime treats for the gift recipients. We wanted to highlight the retreat destination by including local favorite items while also providing practical gift items for the trip and a few keepsake gifts too.

A Summertime Seaside Retreat

Anyone on the East Coast knows that Cape Cod is an idyllic summertime destination. For Alexion’s annual leadership retreat, they headed to the coast and wanted to welcome their team with meaningful and useful gifts to make their trip special.

Inspired by the serene beauty of Cape Cod, we channeled nautical blues, crisp whites, and natural textures for the gifts' the aesthetic. Our goal was to deliver a gift experience that captured the refreshing, seaside spirit of their destination while showcasing premium, purposeful items that felt as elevated as the team receiving them.

Each welcome gift featured a custom-branded Turkish towel, both elegant and practical for a ocean getaway. This was paired with a JBL brand portable speaker with the company’s logo, perfect for enjoying music at the beach, by the pool, or even during a casual team gathering. These exclusive items were not only useful during the retreat, but also serve as lasting reminders of the experience.

When creating custom welcome gifts, we love to include locally inspired treats as a way to allow recipients to immerse themselves in their destination. An artisan charcoal bar soap for a spa-like feel, decadent sea salt caramels for a sweet and salty treat, a locally-made gourmet chocolate bar and a luxury candle, hand-poured in Cape Cod, all highlighted regional specialities. As a final heartfelt touch, we added delicate seashells as keepsake reminders of the ocean breeze and the moments shared during the retreat.

For an elevated and cohesive final touch, each gift featured a custom branded welcome gift note card with a coastal lighthouse scene. Each gift box was tied with our signature ribbon and a custom branded gift tag to match the client’s branding and aesthetic.
