It’s no secret that we love all things holiday gifting and while it’s mid-July and the summer sun is shining, it’s never too early to think about holiday gifting, especially holiday gifts for your business. Do you ever wonder how a custom holiday gift design comes together for a business? Today, we’re sharing our best kept secrets to curating the perfect custom holiday gift box.

We’re taking you behind the scenes and showing you a corporate holiday gift design from start to finish, using one of our all-time favorite custom gifts - a charcuterie board themed gift set.

Striking The Right Balance

When it comes to custom gift design, we love creating the perfect balance between aesthetic and function and then executing that gift design to perfection. Design matters in any custom gift, whether it’s for your business, your employees, or your clients, but that’s not all that matters.

When we curate a custom gift here at Marigold & Grey, we set out to make sure that the gift contents are appropriate for the mix of gift recipients and that the items make sense together in a cohesive concept or theme. We take into account who will be receiving the gifts to make sure that everyone can enjoy and find value in all parts of the gift. We also make sure that the gift is on-brand for the company, and customized to set the right tone for the client.

Execute To Perfection

Our attention to detail in design and usability shows our intentionality with every custom gift design. We scour the Internet and local markets to find the right balance of gifts. Once the gift contents, such as keepsakes and treats, make sense within the gift and are aesthetically exceptional when they come together as a whole, we execute the gift to perfection.

What does ‘execute to perfection’ mean? To us, this means that we deliver a gorgeously curated gift on time that says what the client wants to say, and makes the gift recipients feel seen and appreciated. Equally as important, the gift design and execution process must be seamless and stress-free for the client.

If you’ve been in charge of assembling holiday gifts for your office or putting together gift bags for a corporate event at the end of the year, you know how stressful and overwhelming it can be sourcing, designing, assembling and sending the gifts - on top of the job you're likely already doing. Our number one goal is to take that gifting stress off your plate, especially around the holidays. We’re singularly focused on designing and sending out your company’s holiday gifts to flawless perfection.

What Makes A Custom Design

We often get asked about the core contents that we include in just about every gift design that we curate and ship. Today, we’re breaking down the gift design of one of our all-time favorite custom corporate holiday gifts. We custom curated a charcuterie board inspired gift set that was designed to bring people together and gather around the table.

We always strive to come up with a unique, yet defined, concept so the gift comes across as intentional and then we curate the gift contents along this theme. Wherever possible, we look to include contents from various different categories so there is always something each gift recipient will love - guaranteed.

Gifts often include something sweet or savory, something functional for the office, something for self-care, something for fun, a home element, and even a novelty beverage to enjoy. If we can, we like to include something extra like a book, a journal or a blanket (or charcuterie cutting board!) to tie on the top of the box, which everyone loves!

Goal:  Gather Around

For our custom charcuterie board corporate gift design, the goal was to bring employees together after a long year of hard work. We sourced treats, keepsakes and snacks that recipients couldn’t find anywhere else to make the gifts extra special.

We packed each gift with everything recipients would need to assemble their own charcuterie board at home, including artisanal crackers, gourmet mustard, olive oil as well as home keepsakes, including a tea towel, cheese knife set, and spoon rest. To bring the whole gift together - literally - we tied a gorgeous marble and wooden cutting board to the top of each gif box, because no charcuterie board is complete without a gorgeous cutting board platter.

Because branding is so important in custom corporate gifting, we always aim to strike the right balance between branded elements that will have an impact for the client, but not be too over-the-top so that recipients are turned off. For this charcuterie board inspired gift, we included a custom branded gift tag with the client’s logo as well as a personalized branded gift note card with a custom message.

When we finish our gifts off with an elevated notecard and gift tag showcasing the client’s logo and the most perfect coordinating bow, the result is elevated business gifts that not only feature your logo, but communicate the quality behind your brand and your commitment to your clients or employees.
