Vibrant Jewel-Toned Custom Wedding Welcome Gifts

Vibrant jewel tones and Washington, D.C. set the stage for luxurious wedding welcome gifts. The engaged couple came to us to design custom gifts and said they wanted gifts that would get their friends, family and guests excited for the wedding. They also wanted their custom wedding welcome gifts to be meaningful and special, but practical, as many guests were traveling to D.C. from out of town.
The couple met, had their first date, and were engaged in Washington, D.C., so it was only fitting that their jewel tone themed wedding reception was hosted at the Anderson House and designed by Grit & Grace. With rich pops of color and thoughtful curated surprises, we loved designing these custom wedding welcome gifts to be anything, but boring or basic.
Our goal was to create an elegant wedding welcome gift to build excitement for the couple’s wedding day in Washington, D.C., and offer a warm welcome to their wedding guests traveling to the nation’s capital for their special day!
The custom welcome gifts were designed to set the tone for their D.C. wedding, yet be thoughtful, useful and tie back to their wedding color aesthetic of vibrant jewel tones. We began designing the custom gifts by selecting a modern navy blue gift box with emerald green fill for a wintery look. The gifts were tied with a rich burgundy ribbon and finished with a custom gift tag featuring their wedding monogram and a burgundy tassel. Also included was a custom notecard with a welcome message from the couple, itinerary for the wedding weekend and a list of local things to do in Washington, D.C.
For the wedding welcome gift contents, we leaned into the couple’s jewel tone wedding color palette while incorporating items that represent both the bride and the groom as well as their wedding location in D.C. To begin, we included a custom cookie of their English cream golden retriever named Archie, baked by a local Washington, D.C. business. We also included a set of two mini Prosecco Rosé bottles for toasting the happy couple. For snacks, we added a gourmet raspberry chocolate bar, white chocolate covered pretzels from a D.C. based confectionery, and grape gummies sealed with a custom monogram wax seal.
