There’s nothing we love more than designing gifting experiences that bring people together in unforgettable ways. Recently, our Marigold & Grey team had the opportunity to partner with Tara Skinner Events to create a one-of-a-kind luxury corporate gifting lounge and pop-up shop the top wedding planners visiting the stunning Hotel Bardo in Savannah, Georgia.

Transforming Gifting Into an Experience

Branded gifts are the pinnacle of corporate gifting when they’re done right. Here at Marigold & Grey we're focused on carefully curated, high-end gifts that guests truly want to keep and use, not just tossing together at the last minute promotional swag destined for the trash. By designing this pop-up lounge experience from start to finish, we transformed gifting into a fresh, luxury customer touchpoint that creates lasting memories, strengthens brand recognition, and builds genuine brand loyalty.

The vision? A thoughtful, elevated welcome for attendees that honored Hotel Bardo’s chic, coastal brand aesthetic while adding a splash of southern charm and vibrant island-inspired color. We wanted to curate the kind of on-site corporate gifting experience that felt more like a brand activation than a traditional welcome gift bag that guests got at check in.

We are excited to take you behind-the-scenes to share about how this unique gifting lounge came together from start to finish. We set out to not only create a seamless process for the event hosts, but also to design an unforgettable experience that left a lasting impression on guests. 

Curating the Experience

From the very beginning, our goal was to create more than just gifts. We wanted to design a hands-on, boutique-style shopping experience for each guest that engaged all the senses and stayed with them long after their stay. Our gifting experts at team M&G carefully sourced locally made items that delighted attendees during their weekend stay in Savannah,  while also creating custom corporate gifts that highlighted both Hotel Bardo’s brand identity and the local scene.

To bring this unique gifting lounge experience concept to life, we collaborated with our talented friends at Petal Productions based in Miami, who designed a stunning shelving display for the different gift choices. Bright, bold florals and clean, modern lines set the stage for a truly immersive and memorable gifting lounge setting that welcomed guests.

Inside the Gifting Lounge

Each guest was invited to “shop” the shelves and select their favorite items. Every gift was intentionally chosen to blend Hotel Bardo’s signature luxury vibe with colorful, coastal touches.

To bring the client's vision to life, we curated a collection of thoughtful gifts highlighting the vibrant charm of Savannah that guests could open up and use right away making their weekend stay more comfortable and relaxing. We also mixed in keepsake-style reusable gifts that guests could take home and remember their trip fondly. 

Guests could choose from striped canvas tote bags, as stylish as they were practical, for exploring the city or lounging poolside. They then used their bags to shop for other gifts including brightly-colored sun visors perfect for sunny afternoons, and Georgia peach candy that offered a sweet nod to the local flavors.

We also included mineral sunscreen to keep guests protected, soy candles to create a cozy atmosphere, and flavored lemonade for a refreshing treat. To highlight Savannah’s local makers, we added whipped honey and Savannah Bee lip balm, giving attendees a keepsake to take home and enjoy long after the event ended.

Together, these hand-picked products created a mix of indulgence, practicality, and local flavor. Guests left with gifts that were not only on-brand for the event host, but felt both personal and purposeful.

The Final Experience

Once the shelves were styled and stocked, the "Welcome to Paradise" themed gifting lounge was ready to open its doors to VIP "shoppers." The space was bright, welcoming, and full of character, which was a perfect reflection of Hotel Bardo’s brand. 

Our custom gifting team M&G members remained on-site to manage the gifting process, ensuring every guest received a warm welcome moment and enjoyed a seamless experience from start to finish.

The result? Smiling faces, full tote bags, and a thrilled client. The pop-up shop created an elevated brand experience that left a lasting impression, the true goal of modern corporate event gifting. Our client shared how much they appreciated having a stress-free gifting partner, and we couldn’t be happier to have played a part in creating such a memorable welcome for their guests.
