Unique Holiday Gift Wrapping Ideas

As a gift designer who creates curated gift boxes as a business, I am always on the lookout for innovative ways to wrap and style gifts. This becomes even more of an obsession during the holidays! Today I'm rounding up some of my absolute faves to hopefully inspire your holiday wrapping this year. Let's turn wrapping into a reason to be creative rather than just a chore!
Postcards
This first one blew my mind. I never thought to include a post card on the outside of standard run-of-the-mill kraft paper but these are both interesting and winter-insprired.

Touches of Nature
Quite possibly one of my favorite wrapping techniques is the use of natural items such as greenery, pine cones, berries, and even twigs.

Reusable Gift Wrap
Yes, reusable wrapping paper is possible with the usage of stretchy fabric. These modern designs are just perfect and you'd never even know that they're anything other than standard gift wrap from a distance.

Chalkboard Wrap
Chalkboard wrapping paper is everywhere this season and I can totally understand why. The patterns are limitless but I especially love these repeating snowflakes. It's festive without your standard reds and greens that are standard at the holidays.

Non-Traditional Colors
I'm usually a neutrals girl but oh how I love this pop of color! I especially love the red and white polka dot ribbon up against the icy blue. It's festive and perfect for winter.

Go Black
Black isn't dismal. Matte black wrapping paper with satin black ribbon has gorgeous texture. Add some fresh cedar and white berries and you've got a chic, sophisticated look for your gifts!

Gold Foil
Again, we see run-of-the-mill kraft paper made ah-mazing! This time with gold foil arrows by our friends at Haute Papier. I especially love the use of non-holiday patterns at the holidays for an element of surprise. Don't worry. The metallic gold makes the arrows festive enough to easily pass as holiday wrap.

Winter White
White is not boring. It is not sterile. It allows everything to pop quite perfectly! Here you see it tied with twine and adorned with olive leaves. It's finished off with a kraft tag to coordinate with the twine. Perfection!
