Unbelievably excited to announce that I've found a second intern for the spring/summer! When I say she's a perfect fit, I absolutely mean it. She works in corporate events currently and wait...get this...she comes from a family of wedding planners! She's outgoing, ambitious, hard working and funny too. During her interview, she confessed that she recently moved to NYC "for a boy" and then explained her strong desire to get into the wedding industry by saying "Let's face it, when you're not engaged, you live vicariously through others' weddings". Her honesty and ability to tease herself, while still remaining professional, I love this girl already!
Here's some more about Holly, except now in her own words...
Hi! My name is Holly Julian and I am an early career professional in the event planning industry with a Communications degree from Christopher Newport University. Deriving from a large family of girls (6 sisters!!), two of whom are in the wedding business, it should come as no surprise that I am chasing a career in the same. During college, I interned as a Special Events Associate for a nearby museum. Upon graduation, I accepted my current position as a full time Events Specialist for Northrop Grumman where I have remained for the past 3 years. As a former military dependent, I was born in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and moved all over the world before recently settling down outside of the NYC area - a personal dream come true in itself! I am most happy when I am spending time with my family, friends, and above all else, food! I am eager to develop myself as a professional in the wedding industry and I can't wait to see what this amazing new city and Marigold & Grey has in store for me!
