Top 10 Virtual Event Gift Designs

FILED IN: Client & Corporate Gifts, Virtual Events

I can't believe it's been a year since the world instantly shut down and pandemic life began. A lot has changed since then including the way in which people gather for business, the way they show employees their appreciation, and the way they celebrate life's special occasions. What used to be celebrated in-person is now done virtually and as our clients have made this drastic shift, we too have transitioned the way we design gifts for these types of events in order to meet our clients exactly where they are.

We're so excited to share some of our favorite virtual event gift box designs from the last 12 months and give you an idea what's been keeping us so busy. We've loved seeing our clients discover how gifting for virtual events can truly be impactful, even as impactful as in-person event gifting! Without further adieu...

Bloomingdale's Virtual Birthday Party for David Yurman

When Bloomingdale's was planning a birthday celebration for David Yurman, they knew they would need to find a way to make this happen virtually! They came to us looking for on-brand boxes with a festive, celebratory vibe and we were definitely up for the challenge. We began with modern black hat boxes and filled with luxe Godiva birthday truffles, bottles of bubbly, a David Yurman bracelet in a branded suede pouch, a David Yurman candle, and a set of modern marble color-blocked coasters. We finished them off with black and white branded gift tags and branded notecards letting recipients know that they were looking forward to celebrating with them on the upcoming event date. These gifts got guests even more excited for the birthday party and also served as reminder of the date so guests were sure to have it marked on their calendars if they didn't already.

Deloitte's Virtual Project Kickoff Celebration

Deloitte came to us when they were about to kickoff a major project for a client, a project that they successfully rolled out virtually, something that they had obviously never done before. Traditionally with a project so significant, and having to overcome the obstacles of rolling it out online, they would get together as a team to celebrate. But in this case, they would celebrate virtually as well. They wanted virtual event gift boxes with some items for team members to enjoy after the event but also a few items to enjoy and wear during the event to create a feeling of unity. We selected small batch coffee and branded mugs for everyone to get a jolt of caffeine after many long days and night spent getting the project over the finish line. We also added branded masks featuring their team's project motto on it for people to wear during the virtual session! We also included branded sand-resistant beach blankets to encourage the team members to get outside and enjoy some downtime following such a huge accomplishment!

Pulse Virtual Event Gift Boxes

Pulse has created a platform offering business leaders a community where they can make connections, share knowledge, get advice, and stay on top of current trends in the technology space. They came to use for assistance designing gifts for one of their upcoming member events to be held virtually! We wanted to focus on adhering to their branding colors while also featuring items that recipients can use and enjoy while working from home or even during the online sessions themselves.

We included branded embossed journals, an insulated tumbler featuring their logo perfect to keep on their desk, electronic cleansing wipes, a mini bluetooth speaker perfect for both quarantine and while out and about, hand sanitizer, and a color coordinating face mask. We finished them off with handwritten notecards featuring their logo and branded gift tags on the outside. The best part, though? Ring lights to help each attendee look and feel their best while on camera!

Luxury Virtual Baby Shower Hat Boxes

Life may look different these days but it sure hasn't stopped things like bridal showers and baby showers from happening, even though they're now done virtually. For this particular project, when our client had to cancel the luxe baby shower they had planned and move it to virtual, they still wanted to give the guests an incredible experience. The plan was to send personalized linen hat boxes to invite each guest to attend online while also communicating all of the pertinent details of the invent including date, time, link to join, and all registry information. We filled the boxes with custom tumblers personalized with each guest's first name, custom cookies in the shape of a baby onesie, cozy pink Barefoot Dreams socks, Sugarfina candy, a small batch artisan chocolate bar, and pink key chain. We finished them off with a monogram gift tag, custom baby shower invitation, and insert card requesting books to be sent in lieu of cards to stock the new baby's library!

Attentive Mobile's Virtual Event Gift Boxes

For one of our virtual event gift projects, our client Attentive Mobile wanted something small but still impactful. To keep budget down due to their rather lengthy attendee list, we selected white tuck top boxes and filled them with hand sanitizer, computer-themed socks as a nod to the virtual nature of the event, and Sugarfina vitamin-infused gummies for an immunity boost!

We finished them off of mini-sized gift tags featuring the special logo created especially for their event along with agendas featuring each attendee's first name for a personal touch! We also selected a ribbon color to match their event branding colors to keep everything professional and cohesive. These were small in size but a huge hit from what we hear!

Sirius Virtual Corporate Forum Gift Boxes

When Sirius Computer Solutions reached out to us to fully outsource their gifting for their upcoming event, they were looking for high-end and on-brand custom boxes for their "Blueprint for Success" briefing, an educational seminar they planned addressing digital, data, and security insights! We included useful items such as a branded Shinola journal (a definite fan favorite!) with a coordinating pen, a phone sanitizer machine as a tech item, a Que water bottle to keep hydrated during the sessions, a branded logo cookie, and of course an energy drink to keep attendees awake and fully present! We finished them off with foil-printed bellybands featuring their logo and branded notecards with their welcome message. We also included the logos of all of their partners who helped them bring the virtual event to life!

PSCU Virtual Corporate Forum Gift Boxes

PSCU is one of the largest credit union service organizations in the United States and happens to be one of our repeat corporate clients. They do a large event with us each year but, of course, 2020 threw a huge wrench in their plans for an in-person corporate conference. So we simply switched gears. We worked with them to quickly pivot and re-design the gifts for a virtual event instead. All of the gifts were intentionally curated for the attendees to use and enjoy the gifts while at home instead of on-site at the corporate event like they would've been originally. But here's the best part! The gifts pulled double duty and also functioned as an official save-the-date for the rescheduled in-person date in spring of 2021. (For our specific ideas on how to adapt your welcome gifts when your event has been cancelled or postponed, visit here.)

We began with their branding colors of navy blue and lime green and sourced boxes to coordinate perfectly with their branding guidelines. Since this was a virtual event, we wanted to include a few items that attendees could actually use during the online sessions to include a lime green hardback journal and coordinating set of pens in fun, yet still on-brand, patterns! We also included wireless wood charging stations for their phones as well as wireless Bose speakers in on-brand blue. Also in-line with these other tech items, we included a package of electronic cleansing wipes to keep everything clean and germ-free! As a fun touch, we included stress-relief putty, again, in an on-brand blue.

We finished off the gift with navy grosgrain ribbon for a modern blue-on-blue look along with a logo gift tag and branded notecard with message serving as the official save-the-date for next year's event that will (hopefully!!!) be able to take place in person. Gifts were drop-shipped directly to each recipient's home and arrived just ahead of the virtual event to, not only get them excited about the online sessions, but also to let them know that an in-person gathering awaits them next year too!

NRECA Virtual Conference Gift Boxes

NRECA is a large trade association for American's electric cooperatives and each year they host an annual conference with representatives from all over the country. This year, the event was hosted virtually with each individual cooperative meeting together in-person. We created custom gift boxes for their event, designed to be shared amongst the members during the sessions. We included useful items like branded notepads and pens along with various snacks for them to share and enjoy!

Personalized Baby Shower Gift Boxes

When our long time repeat client Kendra Barnes of The Key Resource (you may remember her from our Clients Who Inspire spotlight here) came to us for help designing custom guest boxes for her friend's upcoming virtual baby shower, we were over the moon excited! We aimed for small yet impactful boxes that would be personalized to each guest. We began with white tuck top style boxes and filled them with Sugarfina bubbly bears, insulated wine tumblers personalized with each guest's first name for an added personal touch, and a cocktail kit. We finished off the boxes with not only a notecard for the guests but also mini signs featuring event hashtag (#babybrevil) for guests to hold up during the virtual shower! Details like the hashtag sign may seem small but they really do create a feeling of unity during an event where everyone is not together in-person. We closed the boxes with blush satin ribbon and gift tags with a simple "cheers"!

Essilor Corporate Event Gift Boxes

Essilor, an international opthalmic optics company, came to us in the initial pandemic days as they were faced with the challenge of transitioning their annual sales summit from in-person to virtual. They really wanted to especially recognize their President's Club sales achievement winners with some treats to enjoy both during and after the virtual sessions. We selected sturdy white boxes and included vegan cookies, Sugarfina gummies, Waterloo seltzer, and hand sanitizer. For useful items, we also included branded journals to be used during the sessions as well as electronic cleansing wipes for the computer screen, keyboard, and phone. Then on top of the boxes, we included brightly colored turkish beach towels, just underneath the ribbon. We finished off the gifts with branded gift tags and notecards expressing their heartfelt congratulations to these very special award winners.
