One of our favorite types of custom corporate gift design projects here at Marigold & Grey is creating gifts that build excitement before a trip even begins. That was the goal when Chiesi partnered with team M&G to design custom incentive trip gifts for their President's Club winners traveling to beautiful Key Biscayne, Florida.

Inspired by the destination, we created a collection of elevated travel essentials and locally sourced Florida products that gave recipients a preview of what was to come for their beach vacation. The result was a practical yet memorable welcome gift that celebrated the destination while providing items recipients could use throughout their well-earned getaway.

Building Excitement Before the Journey Begins

One of the biggest advantages of pre-trip gifting is the opportunity to begin the experience before recipients ever leave home.

Rather than waiting until guests arrive at their destination, a pre-trip gift helps build anticipation in the weeks leading up to the trip. It reminds recipients that something special is on the horizon while giving them practical items they can pack and use throughout their travels.

For this project, Chiesi wanted recipients to immediately begin imagining themselves relaxing on the beaches of Key Biscayne. Every design decision was made with that destination in mind, creating a gift that felt light, fresh, and perfectly suited for a coastal getaway.

As a returning client to us at Marigold & Grey, Chiesi also challenged us to create something completely different from previous years, which is always one of our favorite creative opportunities.

A Destination Inspired Color Palette

The design leaned into the relaxed feeling of a Florida beach resort while still maintaining a polished corporate presentation.

Soft shades of gray were paired with bright pink accents and fresh pops of citrus-inspired color, creating a gift that felt sophisticated while hinting at the sunshine and coastal atmosphere awaiting recipients.

The custom branded gift tag and personalized notecard completed the presentation, adding a thoughtful welcome message before recipients even packed their bags.

Breaking Down the Gift

Every item inside this custom incentive trip gift was selected to help recipients enjoy their time in Key Biscayne while reinforcing the overall destination story.

The gift was presented in a durable water resistant tote bag that immediately became part of the gift itself. Practical and travel ready, it was perfect for carrying beach essentials throughout the trip.

Inside, recipients found a Yeti brand waterproof gear case for protecting valuables, a compact waterproof portable speaker for relaxing by the pool or beach, and a quick dry towel that could be used throughout their stay.

To help guests enjoy the Florida sunshine safely, we included Florida-made SPF 55 sunscreen, while hydration packets encouraged recipients to stay refreshed during their travels.

We also wanted to incorporate a true taste of the destination, so we sourced artisan Key lime shortbread cookies from a Florida maker, giving recipients a delicious introduction to one of the state's most iconic flavors before they even arrived.

Together, these carefully curated items created a gift that felt useful, cohesive, and unmistakably inspired by the destination.
