Say hello to the newest member of our full-time M&G team, Trudy! While Trudy may be stepping into a new role as our E-Commerce Production Lead, she’s certainly not new to Marigold & Grey.
She originally joined us as a seasonal holiday team member and quickly became an important part of the behind-the-scenes magic that goes into getting our gifts here at Marigold & Grey beautifully assembled and out the door.
In her new role, Trudy helps lead the production of our e-commerce gifts, bringing together the organization, attention to detail, and creativity it takes to make sure each curated gift looks just as beautiful when it arrives on your doorstep as it does in our online gift shop.
With a background in graphic design, a love for creating, and firsthand experience with our busiest gifting season during the holidays, she’s a natural fit for the role, and we’re so happy to officially welcome her to team M&G.
Now, let’s turn it over to Trudy so you can get to know her a little better in her own words…

Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a mum of three young adults, and my favorite moments are the ones spent gathered around a table with family and friends. Whether it’s a home-cooked meal or dining out, I believe good food has a way of bringing people together.
To stay balanced (and sane!), I do Pilates and weight training. I also love diving into creative hobbies, and have recently been enjoying making jewelry and experimenting with collage art.
When I’m not creating, I’m often in the kitchen baking a batch of muffins or watching K-dramas and zombie movies with my kids.

What attracted you to this position at M&G?
After years of micromanaging the beautiful chaos that comes with raising three active kids, I was ready to return to a creative role. I joined Marigold & Grey as a seasonal holiday team member because it offered the flexibility to balance work and family but quickly realized there was so much more to it than “playing with pretty things”.
Behind every beautiful gift box, is thoughtful strategy, intentional design, careful curation, and countless details working together. Getting to be part of that creative process has made every day both rewarding and genuinely fun.

What were you doing before joining M&G and how do you think it will benefit you in the position?
Before joining M&G, I worked as a freelance graphic designer in the DMV, which gave me the flexibility to travel and maintain a career.
Later, I took on several volunteer roles within my children’s schools that required not just artistic ability, but also strengthened my people, organizational, and production skills that I now use daily at Marigold & Grey.

What do you look forward to about this job?
I love that no two days are the same, every day brings something new, whether it’s a fresh project, creative challenge, or an opportunity to learn.
Also, I really look forward to the chocolate (a definite perk!), and ALL the thoughtful team building/team appreciation activities. And, of course, playing with pretty things every day!

A favorite celebrity wedding?
Benny & Selena
A favorite movie?
Gladiator
A favorite travel destination?

Favorite social media account these days?
Hehe, no social media for me.
We hope you enjoyed getting to know Trudy a little better! From graphic design and jewelry making to baking muffins, Pilates, K-dramas, and the occasional zombie movie, she brings such a fun mix of creativity and personality to Team M&G.
We’re especially happy that what began as a seasonal role has turned into a permanent place on our team. Trudy has already experienced firsthand just how much thought, care, and attention to detail goes into every Marigold & Grey gift design, and we can’t wait to see her continue to grow in her new role as E-Commerce Production Lead.
Be sure to follow along on Instagram for more behind-the-scenes glimpses of Trudy and the rest of our team in action.
Welcome to your new role, Trudy! We’re so happy to have you as part of Team M&G.
